Favorite Self Confidence Quote

When the Pawn Hits the Conflicts He Thinks Like a King What He Knows Throws the Blows When He Goes to the Fight and He’ll Win the Whole Thing ‘fore He Enters the Ring There’s No Body to Batter When Your Mind Is Your Might so When You Go Solo, You Hold Your Own Hand and Remember That Depth Is the Greatest of Heights and If You Know Where You Stand, Then You Know Where to Land and If You Fall It Won’t Matter, Cuz You’ll Know That You’re Right.

Definition of Self Confidence

Self confidence is trusting yourself and your abilities.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Five years ago was the start of Josephine’s journey.  She was living in Calgary, had just bought a home, was married, and was working in a corporate job.  She had all the things that everybody said are markers of a successful life, but she wasn’t living authentically.  She always knew deep down inside she felt like there was more for her in the world to try or experience.  She also felt guilty for not being satisfied with what she had, because she knew she had so much more than so many people. That feeling of guilt held her back for a long time.

The “AHA” Moment

Josephine mentioned that going through her divorce and getting out of her almost 10 year relationship was a changing point. It was when she was first truly on her own for the first time in her adult life and as a result she had to really learn to rely on and trust herself.

Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence

Life is certainly different nowadays for Josephine. She doesn’t want to say that it’s so much “better” because she feels like that’s making it sound like it was bad before and it wasn’t. But she feels that she is living much more truthfully and honestly now. It’s not always easy, in fact it’s been extremely hard sometimes but she wouldn’t trade it for anything.  She feels much more strong and sure of herself now.  She has less doubt and less fear.

The One Self Confidence Tip For the Listener

Your intuition is always spot on so if you are feeling something to follow it. If you feel lie you aren’t that in touch with your intuition or your inner voice, that you should work on tapping into it or hearing it because it’s going to be your best friend on your journey to knowing and loving yourself. And  also that you have to make sure that you can gain your self worth and confidence from within instead of external factors. This is one of the hardest things that is a lot easier said than done. We can all easily fall into the trap of getting self worth from unhealthy places whether that’s relationships with people or even
things like work or being “busy.”
