Definition of Self Confidence

Self confidence is being unapologetic for who you are and how you show up as in the world.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Stephanie was a people pleaser, obedient, and strove for excellence because that’s what she believed was expected of her. She was a perfectionist, but definitely insecure and always validated herself through the words, actions and eyes of others. She seeked approval a lot.

The “AHA” Moment

In December 2016, Stephanie woke up and looked in the mirror and she couldn’t recognize herself anymore. Her first child had just turned 18 months and she also just quit her full-time corporate job. She remembers feeling lost and a shell of a human.

Stephanie was trying to be someone she wasn’t anymore. She was trying to shove the old pre-kid version of herself into the new version of herself. She wasn’t confident and she was doing everything to please other people or doing what she thought she was supposed to be doing and she got burnt out.

She knew she needed to do something, but she didn’t know what. As fate would have it, Stephanie signed up for a Maui retreat – thinking it was some yoga retreat and instead it was her first step down the path of her personal development journey and her first step into the world of “woo”.

Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence

It’s taken 3 kids and 6 years on this journey but Stepanie cannot even recognize the person she was before. She is able to show up, be present.  She is able to open up and easily share her story on camera and in print in order to help other moms out there rediscover themselves. She realized that she has a choice and she chooses not to give her power away to others.

The One Self Confidence Tip For the Listener

Every stage of your life, self-confidence will look different and will come in different forms whether it’s the confidence to wear a certain outfit to the confidence to be vulnerable and speak your truth to the confidence to put yourself and your priorities first, but the bottom line is – truly figure out what you want and live in that mindset of having it. Small wins matter. Say affirmations daily. It won’t happen overnight, but if you slowly build upon your wins toward what you want, before you know it you will be a confident you.
