Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Shanaia relied on other people’s approval and started using things like filters and photoshop to look perfect on social media.  Her self worth was measured by how many likes and followers she had on social media.  When she moved to the Philippines and started losing many friendships, she went into a dark place at the age of 14 and felt worthless.

The “AHA” Moment

Shanaia realized that having more friends wasn’t necessarily a good thing, some of the people she surrounded herself with were fake and toxic.  She also realized it was not worth it and let go of the toxic people in her life.  She now has a small circle of friends and family that she goes to for support through good and bad times which gave her the freedom to show up as her authentic self.
