Definition of Self Confidence
Self confidence means to not doubt yourself. It means to believe in yourself that you are good enough for whatever challenge is at hand, and knowing that no matter the outcome, you have faith in yourself to try your best.
Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence
Nimisha remembers just being unsure about things, and feeling like that was holding her back. She thinks embracing the fact being unsure is okay is really what allowed her to grow into herself and allowed her to be more confident.
The “AHA” Moment
It wasn’t one single moment that she can think of. She thinks it was a gradual change, a change that is probably still ongoing. Learning through trial and error that others would dismiss her if she dismissed herself, and take her seriously if she took herself seriously too. She thinks it’s about living the philosophy that it’s better to have tried and failed then to have not tried at all, because if you try at least there is a chance you will succeed.
Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence
Nimisha is less afraid now. She used to be more concerned with what people thought about her or what would happen if she didn’t know all the answers. But learning to accept that you don’t need to know everything to be confident, and learning to filter through any other negative comments and only take constructive feedback makes a big difference. And being less afraid allows now allows her to be more confident in everything that she does.
The One Self Confidence Tip For the Listener
Don’t put too much pressure on yourself to be perfect. Learn to be confident in yourself just the way you are. Sure, there is always room for improvement. But don’t think of that improvement as something you need before you can be confident – believe that you are good enough now and that growing and learning will only make you better.
