491: The Feeling Of Success With Meenakshi Ramamurthy

Meenakshi Ramamurthy is a comedy writer/director from South Texas and that means she’s one of the few Indian people who The Feeling Of Success With Meenakshi Ramamurthy can tell you where to get a good taco.  She is also the creator of The Fob and I, a popular web series about two Indians that are different. She is a Radio-Television-Film graduate of the University of Texas and a recent graduate of USC’s M.F.A Production program. She is a recipient of the James Bridges Directing Scholarship and the Jack Oakie Scholarship in Honor of Lisa Kudrow. Meena looks forward to making a career out of making people laugh, telling culturally relevant stories, and eating too much ice cream.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Meenakshi never felt she was good enough even if she accomplished alot.  She applied for a director gig that she thought she was qualified for but ended up not getting job which also lowered her confidence but picked herself back up.

The “AHA” Moment

Meenakshi realized that you get better as you fail more so she always pick yourself up.

When she released her show The Fob and I, she received good press and felt success from emails of her viewers because they could relate to the show.

Meenakshi is excited to have a win but not everyday is a win for her.  She motivates herself and is proud of herself.  She is currently in talks to expand the show.
