246: This Is Your Art With Maegan Houang

Maegan Houang is a filmmaker and music video director based in Los Angeles. Her recent music video for Skylar Spence’s “I This Is Your Art With Maegan HouangCan’t Be Your Superman” was chosen as the Best Music Video of the Week in Stereogum and received a Vimeo Staff Pick. She has directed and produced videos for Chastity Belt, L.A. Girlfriend, Speedy Ortiz, and Death from Above 1979. Her work has been featured in various online publications including: Spin, Noisey, Fact Magazine, Stereogum, Film Shortage, NYLON, Director’s Notes, NPR, VideoStatic and SHOTS magazine. In 2015, she made 1.4’s Long List for Brilliant Filmmaking.
