Definition of Self Confidence
Self confidence is trusting in yourself and believing in yourself, your intentions and your abilities. It very much goes hand in hand with self love. It’s also about being self aware and being comfortable with who you are.
Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence
Growing up Kayelle had a real identity crisis. Being mixed Asian and British, she really struggled with bullies at school, as she was the only Oriental Asian in her class, she was also very short and never really felt like she fit in. Going through her time at school she would always feel like she had to choose one race or the other and it was a constant battle she was having with herself because she had no one to relate to. There weren’t any actors, or models, or celebrities that she could look up to at that time. Because of this, there was this constant need of validation and approval and instead of looking for that within herself, she looked for it from other people.
The “AHA” Moment
Kayelle thinks it was a case of a lot of small AHA moments building up to get her to where she is now. It’s leaving that toxic relationship and surviving the heartbreak, it’s losing friends and gaining better people in your life.

The One Self Confidence Tip For the Listener
Like happiness, self confidence is very much a way of life and not an end goal. Although it is hard, try not to compare your journey to other people’s. It’s not a competition and everyone is on their own path, some more winding and challenging than others. Another crucial piece of advice when it comes to self confidence is surrounding yourself with the right people. Negative people will naturally be attracted to those with positive energy, do not let them feed off you and drain you, it’s okay to say no to these people, and work more towards surrounding yourself with others of similar energy to yours.
