Julie Tran is a Naturopathic Doctor and Acupuncturist. She is also the founder of Silicon Valley Natural Health located in San Jose, CA. Julie was born and raised in San Jose, CA, one week after her parents immigrated from Vietnam. She is earned her BA in Psychology from University of Redlands, then went on to study Naturopathic medicine and traditional Chinese medicine at the University of Bridgeport, in Bridgeport CT. During her studies and training, she worked with Dr. Peter D’Adamo, ND, author of the New York Times Bestseller, Eat Right for Your Type (The Blood Type Diet) at the world renown D’Adamo Clinic. Julie is also the international bestselling of Asian Women Trailblazers Who BossUp.

Julie’s cousin told her that in order to be successful, she needed to be thin. Julie felt sad, disempowered, insecure and very angry. The anger turned to spite; the spite fuelled her fire, her resolve.
