Definition of Self Confidence

Self confidence is believing that you can push yourself out of your comfort zone and not only survive, but THRIVE!  The precursor to self-confidence is honest self-awareness.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Jennifer felt like a small bird, quietly singing songs in a tiny cage. She felt trapped by her own doubts and fears. She thought she was not good enough, not qualified enough, and had a severe case of imposter syndrome. She wanted to soar. She wanted to sing loudly. She wanted to be free but she was imprisoned in her own self-doubt.

The “AHA” Moment

There hasn’t been a single AHA moment for self-confidence. Rather, it’s been a collection of many moments through an adventurous journey over time. Jennifer repeatedly pushes herself out of my comfort zone.her favorite exercise for this is finding her way in a foreign country where she deosn’t speak the language and doesn’t know a single soul. Each time she thinks something is impossible or unlikely, she justs go for it and do it. Sometimes she fails, but failure is not final. And the times that she did succeed gave her the fuel and momentum for her to carry on and keep chasing her dreams.

Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence

Freedom and joy! Honestly Jennifer feels unstoppable now because she realized that so many limitations were in her own head. Now she feels like a bird, wings spread wide, soaring above the sky. Since she has become more self-confident, she has achieved so many things that she thought would never happen. She started her own business, launched a podcast, and even Emcee-ed at a TEDx event!

Jennifer used to be so scared of being on stage, but not anymore! Her dream for the next chapter is to become a public speaker and she is taking baby steps along the way to get there. With dogged determination and a healthy dose of big dreaming, she thinks it’s possible.

The One Self Confidence Tip For the Listener

Trust the process. It’s all a process and nothing magically comes overnight. It sounds new-agey but the universe really provides if you can envision what you want, and really work hard at it. Jennifer had “trust the process” written on her whiteboard for a full year to remind herself that there would be ups and downs, but that she needed to trust herself and the process.
