I didn’t ask you to be her, I asked you to be you.
Definition of Self Confidence
Self-confidence means accepting who you are and being completely comfortable in your skin. And the actions that you take as well as the decisions you make come from a place of self-assurance versus fear or doubt, or simply doing things because you think that’s what other people want.
Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence
Around 10 years ago, Francesca just moved to the States, and it was also at the height of the recession. She spent months looking for a job, and she couldn’t find one. She knew she wanted to be a writer and content creator, but she was feeling defeated since she couldn’t land any job, let alone a writing one.
The “AHA” Moment
Since Francesca had no clue how to get clients from becoming a writer, she read the book called The Well -Fed Writer which was a book on how to start a writing career from scratch. This booked helped her land clients and have a successful writing career.
Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence
Being more confident has helped Francesca live a life that’s filled with gratitude. She has been doing this for years, but there are days when she is still at awe at the fact that she gets to do what she loves every day and her work helps other people. She is also surrounded by supportive people both at a personal and professional level. So, it’s been pretty great.
There are still up and downs, and she would be lying if she said that she is 100% confident all the time. She still has moments of doubt and fear, but the difference is, these days she is better at overcoming them, than who she was 10 years ago.
The One Self Confidence Tip For the Listener
Take some time to reflect on who you are and what you’re called to do. So do whatever you can to figure out what you’re good at, what your unique abilities are, and the activities that you could do all day, every day. And just start focusing on those things and see where it takes you.
Every step you take will either take you to the next level or teach you a lesson. But either way, those lessons and experiences are the very things that will build your confidence overtime.
