570: Freedom To Be You With Davina Goh

Davina Goh is a performer and plant-based lifestyle advocate.  A communications graduate, Davina’s career spans eighteen Freedom To Be You With Davina Gohyears in performing arts, writing, radio, broadcasting, teaching and event management. In 2013, she quit her job, packed her bags, and left Malaysia to study Shaolin kungfu for 8 months with 32nd Generation Warrior monks in China, and is now a fitness enthusiast. She has been a practicing vegetarian for 6 years and currently takes on the role of Malaysia’s pioneering plant-based lifestyle advocate under the persona of ‘Davina Da Vegan’. Her website of the same name shares plant-based recipes, sustainable living tips and places to eat around the Klang Valley in Malaysia.

Davina hiding in the shadow of my father.  He ruled the house with an iron fist.  He was very rational and pragmatic.  She was very scared and lonely.  Davina was not placed in the right environment to explore her identity.

Like all other relationships, don’t rush into a relationship with yourself.  Take time learning what makes you happy and why doesn’t make you happy.  Honour moments where you feel uncomfortable because you learn from that too.  If something resonates with you, let it stick and let it grow on you.
