Definition of Self Confidence
Embracing your strengths and not being afraid to use them for the good of those around you.
Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence
Sarah really had a strong sense of needing to please everyone. She was overworked – working long hours running restaurants – and although she knew people thought she was good at what she did, she wasn’t happy. Her family life was suffering along with herself. She was overworked from her job.
The “AHA” Moment
A lady came in to the last restaurant Sarah managed. She was an “active adult” (read: senior citizen). They were talking about how much they loved traveling and the professional life of a woman. It was a great conversation, and the active adult was proud of all that she had accomplished in such a short time. The same lady said that she had always lived her life to avoid ever regretting anything on her death bed.
When Sarah came to the same realization, she didn’t want to lose anymore time spent with her family so she quit her job and took some time to reflect. Then she decided to venture out on her own by opening her own business.
Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence
Sarah is now living life in her own terms and being able to spend more time with her family. She is able to build a business while having a life.
The One Self Confidence Tip For the Listener
Don’t compare yourself to anyone else. It’s the biggest disservice you can do for yourself. Think about what would make you and the ones you love most proud of the life you lived based on your own strengths and life circumstances.
