Lorie Corcuera is the Co-Founder and CEO of SPARK Creations and Company Inc., a training and development organization that inspires people and companies to create meaningful cultures and workplaces. For over 20 years, she has had the honour of partnering with amazing business owners, entrepreneurs, leaders, learning and development specialists and coaches, and people potential professionals from small to large businesses in the mobile and web technologies, interactive entertainment, professional services, retail, hospitality, manufacturing, and non-profit industries. She also co-founded a social enterprise called Enspire Foundation, which sponsored the education of 18 students and sent over 60 Canadians to build a library and 5 homes, part of a larger community project to relocate families from the shanty town of Bagong Silang, Manila to the clean area in Norzagaray, Bulacan, Philippines. Today, they hold monthly soup kitchens to feed the Vancouver East Side community.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence
Lorie’s parents forgot to pick her up at school when she was 4 years old and she ended up walking home by herself. She knocked on the door and no one answered. She felt like no one loved her, abandoned but independent. She also went through a divorce.
The “AHA” Moment
For Lorie, going through the divorce was when she realized her worth. As a high achiever, she got married because she thought she needed to but she didn’t do it for the right reasons. She lost her identity when after the divorce and decided to get a coach to bring her back to her core. She realized that she is a human being with values and a purpose.
