Krystl Fabella is the creator of the Filipina On The Rise which is podcast and platform that spotlights Filipina powerhouses, their journeys and celebrating what it means to be Filipina. Born in the Philippines, she observed first-hand stark-class disparities between impoverished and privileged communities, fuelling her pursuit to break down barriers that underserved communities face and use education as a vehicle for empowerment. While attending UC San Diego, her passion for social justice, activism, and advocacy began when she ran a UC-wide campaign against sexual assault and helped successfully secure improved prevention education at UCSD. She has had the opportunity to serve as the undergraduate Vice President of External Affairs, lobbying state officials and organizing UC-wide for college affordability and accessibility.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence
Krystl was sexually assaulted in college. This made her feel small since people around her talked about it, she tried to fight it and lost the case and also carried a fake confidence.
