Definition of Self Confidence
Self-confidence is the heartbeat that helps you keep on going regardless of the situation. A collection of memories that help you realize you can weather the storm.
Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence
Growing up in China, Jenny always made her own money starting at the age of six picking up bricks so that she can buy her own ice cubes as a treat. Jenny always had this fire in her to be independent. Also, when Jenny learned that a woman from her village became an entrepreneur which inspired her to become an entrepreneur.
When she migrated to the United States, her confidence level went down temporarily since she had to start from the beginning.
The “AHA” Moment
When Jenny decided what she wanted to do as a career, she was inspired by Vera Wang’s wedding dresses and decided to be a fashion designer even though she had no fashion background. Jenny decided to apply to Fashion Institute of Technology and the program to be a designer was closed for the semester but there was a fashion program for home and textile. All Jenny had to do was showcase her portfolio to get into the home and textile profile. Jenny never heard what a portfolio was and decided to go to the store to buy materials and figured out how to create her portfolio. Because she was able to create it on a whim, she was able to get into the program which led her to becoming an entrepreneur. She realized even though she had no fashion or art background, she still made it happen just by trying.
Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence
Jenny is able to have a 9 figure business and understands the importance of just trying even if it fails because she can always learn from it. Being able to say yes to opportunities and trying help her build her confidence as an entrepreneur.
