Issa was quite insecure and she felt like she was never going to be good enough. It didn’t help that she was deprived of a lot of things growing up so she was constantly trying to prove herself or chase after certain things. She didn’t live upto the beauty standards in the Philippines.

It was when Issa realized that she didn’t have to feel like she was in competition with other people. When she decided to focus on herself and her personal growth, she just stopped caring.
