412: Innocent Confidence With Ann Makosinski

Ann Makosinski is a student inventor.  While still in high school, she created the “Hollow Flashlight,” which utilizes the Innocent Confidence With Ann Makosinskithermoelectric effect to convert radiant body heat into electricity to power an LED bulb without the need for batteries or kinetic energy.  She also created the e-Drink which utilizes thermoelectric generators to convert wasted heat from hot drinks to produce electricity.  Ann appeared on the Tonight Show with Jimmy Fallon twice on the GE Fallonventions segment to demonstrate her inventions. In 2014, she was named one of TIME magazine’s 30 Under 30. In 2017 she was named one of Forbes 30 under 30.

Ann shares how her innocent approach to life has given her the confidence to believe in what she can accomplish and create the inventions that she has today, while inspiring others children to create inventions in the process.
