Aina Syahirah is the co-founder of KULET (Taking its name from the Malay word for skin) which is a Malaysian based footwear brand . The company reflects a sense of effortless and sophisticated aesthetic, focusing on timeless designs. The name KULET was chosen to best reflect the nude colour palette which is the staple colour of our designs and these colours are chosen to compliment different skin tones. KULET strongly supports the “compassion in fashion” movement which translates into animal-friendly products. The leather used for our designs are not animal derived. The KULET GIRL is a modern day woman who appreciates subtle fashion styling, that emphasizes on comfort and wearability. The KULET GUY has a keen eye for detail and confidently chooses easy and wearable pieces that complements his relaxed style.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Aina was shy, quiet, and felt she was not good enough. She was taller than most boys in primary school and was teased at school bus of her dark skin.

The “AHA” Moment

Aina decided to follow intuition to go to Singapore for a fashion show to see a Malaysian influencer in person. She sent her a direct message her on Instagram to ask for a ticket to the fashion show. After that show, she got to talk to her and worked with her.
