Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence
Since Genecia was bullied in school, came from a poor family, supported herself since she was 14 years old , breadwinner of the family and laughing stock in her school for not having the latest gadgets at the time.
She thought she was only limited to the life she was currently living at the time, that there was no possibilities out there for her.
The “AHA” Moment
By entering a beauty pageant, this opened up new doors for Genecia and had a different perception of herself.
Being in a beauty pageant didn’t mean she was living the life. Genecia had to work twice as hard to prove to people that she has what it takes to be a successful business woman despite of the beauty queen title.
This taught her a big lesson which was as long as we are grounded and have a good head on our shoulders, people can see that. You have to go out there and work for it.
