Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Jamie’s life was defined by an extremely active and loud inner critic! That voice is still very active at times but now it’s a matter of awareness and telling it to shush!

The “AHA” Moment

Jamie can’t stress how important going to therapy was. It’s something that she continues to do to this day because it’s like a personal trainer for your mind.  She is fortunate that her employer provides health insurance that covers a substantial portion of the sessions. Her AHA moment was when she and her therapist traced the origin of where the inner critic’s voice comes from and did an exercise where they personified it.  She made her inner critic into a caricature that she finds pretty humorous and it almost instantly zapped it of its power.
