Esther JuLee is a travel blogger and the co-founder of Local Adventurer blog. She was born in Korea but grew up in the Midwest since she was 3 years of age. In 2010, she started sharing her travel adventures on her wedding website, and in 2013, it became an outlet when she was in a career transition, lost, and spiralling into depression. Esther needed a new project, and it was a way to document her adventures after moving cross country. Since then, the blog has grown to be one of the top 5 travel blogs in the world and has taken her on many amazing adventures! Her friends described Esther as “indoorsy” until she started training for the 4-Day Hike to Machu Picchu.
Esther shares her struggles, what made her realized that “it’s okay to be ME” and what her life is like now after the realization. She also shares tips that can help you in your own journey to self confidence.
