Favorite Self Confidence Quote
You, yourself, as much as anyone in the entire universe deserves your love and affection.
Definition of Self Confidence
Self confidence is a result of self-love and by treating yourself with love and kindness, you go on a journey of learning about yourself without judging yourself.
Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence
Lindssay was very self-critical. She never thought her present self was good enough. She was frustrated with her progress in life because she was constantly chasing perfection. She thought that perfection was what she needed to be absolutely amazing, and perfect at everything. Of course, she was wrong. Lindssay was in a very tensed, and stressful state of mind always focusing on the future such as her future goals, career, accomplishments, etc. In retrospection, she found herself using the egoistic voice to mask her own insecurities. She was trying to tell herself that “oh, you’re smart, you’re pretty, you’re better than them, etc.” which she thinks many of us can relate to if we get real enough with ourselves, and are willing to admit that. She thinks that we use our very ego to cover up for our deep insecurities. Lindssay was seeking for outside validation, and approval from everyone around her but herself. In short, a lack of true self-confidence was very detrimental to her mental health.
The “AHA” Moment
Lindssay’s AHA moment was very unexpected, but it came as a result of her doing of the inner-work which was meditation, solitude, and self-reflection. It happened as she was sitting on top of a red volcanic mountain in Santorini watching the last sunset on her Europe backpacking trip. She remembers feeling a deep sense of connection with the Earth, the universe, and life. A sense of unity that she had never experienced before. A very blissful, serene moment. In a state of complete peace, and clarity. In that moment, she began to feel the greater force of love that existed in our universe. Feeling deeply loved, and cared for within herself. Lindssay’s heart expanded beyond her own reality. She felt a sense of compassion for all beings. And in that moment, she knew that love was the force, the very core of being human. Love was at the core of self-confidence. She remembers being very present, and watching the sunset in tears. Just feeling the beauty of being alive.
Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence
The journey to self-confidence definitely does not end after the discovery. It’s still very much a process for Lindssay to learning to trust, and believe in herself more and more each day. Especially as she continues to walk on her path, aligning herself with her life purpose. She only finds herself facing greater challenges, and fears and therefore needing to build stronger self-confidence. But she feels like life is overall operating on a higher level than previously. She finds herself in better, more loving relationships with others, her inner dialogue is more kind to herself. Lindssay finds it very pleasant being alone in her thoughts. Of course, that’s not always the case, there are bad days. But definitely many more good days. She lives everyday with a great sense of gratitude. She now has found the courage to empower others, inspire, and uplift others as much as she can.
The One Self Confidence Tip For the Listener
Everybody’s journey is different. Listen to what is true to your heart. Find the kind voice within your soul and speak to it. Not the critical one. True confidence can not be told, or given, but is found, and built right within your heart. You have to be kind to yourself – it is your most important job, and believing that your presence on this planet is the greatest gift for humanity.
