Definition of Self Confidence

Being able to live your life in a way that’s meaningful and purposeful to you, without worrying about what other people think or being judged by others for your choices. You can’t control what others think of you so do what lights you up.  Figure out what you are deeply passionate about and pursue it with unbridled commitment.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Claire has always been a pretty confident person. But, her confidence came from being good at what she thought society valued such as being a lawyer. When she got sick, quit her job and was unemployed for a year, she lost her self-confidence because she all of a sudden felt that she was less valuable. Her confidence also came from being an endurance athlete, adventure racer, runner, cyclist, etc. When she got sick and couldn’t run or do any endurance sports that also contributed to her loss of self-confidence.

The “AHA” Moment

Getting sick made Claire re-assess her values and her life. She realized that the 6- figure income wasn’t enough to keep her in a job she hated. It dawned on Claire during all of her soul searching that she wanted was to do work that she was deeply passionate about. That’s how she came to teaching and coaching. For her, it’s all about helping others to live the life of their dreams.
