Definition of Self Confidence
Self confidence is feeling comfortable in your own skin and embracing your own quirks.
Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence
Jenny was timid and soft spoken. She worried about what others thought of her which resulted in her not necessarily being true to herself.
The “AHA” Moment
Jenny had 2 AHA moments. Career wise, it was learning to speak up and asking for what she wanted more openly expressing her thoughts with her manager, looking for internal opportunities. She didn’t find a perfect match and her CFO suggested she create a new department. At the time, Jenny certainly did not have the confidence then to create a new department, so she never even asked. But a lucky leap of faith in herself resulted in more business opportunities.
On a personal level, yoga and having more compassion for herself boosted her confidence.
Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence
Jenny is much more happy and comfortable with who she is. The first step to self confidence is acceptance of who you are at your core.
The One Self Confidence Tip For the Listener
Don’t be afraid to speak up to ask for what you want.
