Joanna Soh-Pereira is the Director and Founder of Macchiato Design and Marketing & Design Consultant for Elusyf Global. Macchiato Design and Marketing is the communal initiative of three individuals who had set foot into uncharted waters of entrepreneurship in their early 20s. Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Joanna grew up thinking she had to be a certain way because of how Asian beauty was portrayed in the media. Since Joanna is mixed race, she didn’t fit the so called standard of beauty. She started doing things to fit in to the point that it was killing herself on the inside. She also got sent into the psychiatric ward for severe depression.

The “AHA” Moment

When Joanna was discharged from the psychiatric ward, that is when she made a decision to change her life.

Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence

Joanna gets to live life on her terms. She runs two businesses and is happy with herself. There maybe some days where life may seem tough or she may go through depression but she picks herself up more quickly because of her confidence.
