Pay Chen is an experienced TV host, writer and producer with a passion for food, fitness, dogs and travel.  Put Your Foot Down With Pay ChenShe is a big fan of pastries and dairy products.  Pay currently hosts The Pay Chen Show Saturday afternoons from 3-4pm (EST) on Newstalk 1010. The live show is a mix of lifestyle topics and comedy, with celebrity guests and a slightly twisted sense of humour. Pay is also an actress and has appeared on a variety of TV series such as: Degrassi- Next Class, Hi Opie!, and Dark Matter. Pay’s hosting credits include Breakfast Television Winnipeg (Citytv), OMNI-TV in Toronto, G4 TechTV, the Biography Channel Canada, and the popular national pre-school program 4 Square on Treehouse TV. She is frequently asked to participate in events as a host, judge or speaker.  Pay contributes food, travel, health and other lifestyle content to various publications including: The Globe and Mail, National Post and Canadian Living magazine. She has also written extensively for live-action and animated television series.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

As a woman in the media industry, Pay was treated differently.  She had lower pay and people were harsher on her because she was a woman.  Learning along the way, she figured things out.  When she started working as a full-time employee in media, she had to learn to go with the flow.

The “AHA” Moment

Pay started to put her foot down when she start doing freelance work.  She knew what she want and didn’t want.  She also quit at one point from being burnt out from work.  She decided to travel, and took a few steps back to figure her true self.

Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence

Now Pay makes her own schedule and is not held a prisoner on missing out.  She has achieve the work/life balance.

Take risks, prepare for yourself, work ahead, be aware of setbacks and take lessons from it.
