Definition of Self Confidence

The ability to not only feel empowered by your personal strengths but also comfortable with sharing your vulnerabilities with others. Embracing yourself as a whole and not just investing in and appreciating the parts that make you feel good about yourself.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

For Jessica, it was communicating in English, whether it was through writing or speaking. She was really quiet and timid in class in high school and her first year in college. She had a soft spoken voice, which made life a bit more difficult and was something that had been a huge struggle for her to reclaim. Speaking was not second nature for Jessica at all.

The “AHA” Moment

Jessica overcame her struggle with writing more quickly than speaking because at least writing gave her the time to gather and organize her thoughts before hitting that “publish” button for all the world to see. Writing became her medium to share her voice. She blogged often and even wrote articles for a town newsletter she founded. This underground newsletter of hers really spearheaded her passion in making a difference on marginalized communities because after seeing how one article of mine led to the passing of a $900,000 lighting project proposal, trumping the corrupted trustee board at that time, she knew that she wouldn’t stop there.

Eventually it let Jessica to create her podcast called Project Voice.

The One Self Confidence Tip For the Listener

Just create as much as you can. Be confident in your ability to make a difference on the world through your own creations. Every personal passion project you take on is a life of its own. You never know how much of impact it has, how much happiness it can create without trying it out.
