Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence
Helen was raised to always be humble by never talking about herself. You are not allowed to celebrate your accomplishments. Helen had a challenging time in school when she saw other kids raise their hand up and she didn’t have the courage to do that. She was compared to her sister as well. All of this made Helen learn all the bad things about herself.
The “AHA” Moment
Helen’s husband has helped her see herself in a more positive way. He would ask Helen, “Why do you do that to yourself?” He reminds her to stop thinking that way. Reading self help books has also helped her bring her confidence back.
Faking it till you make it has also helped. She was talking to someone on the phone and fake her voice to be more confident. Her husband was so surprised when he heard her because of how confident she sounded.
Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence
Helen is more self confident nowadays but she still goes through issues. The difference is she can pick herself up and encourages herself everyday to become better.
