Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Before having self- confidence, Helen was a people pleaser.  She needed to feel accepted by others, so she acted like or said only what “they” wanted to hear or see from her.

Helen’s self esteem was also torn away since her mother dubbed her as the unwanted child since she was not the son her family wanted.

The “AHA” Moment

Helen realized she is a much happier person being her true self when she was with people outside her family.   Something as simple as telling a joke made her classmates laugh and built up herself confidence
She was more free on being her true self.
Helen was realized that being a great listener also built up the confidence to provide solutions to her friends who were having problems.   They were her shoulder to lean on in tough times.
