She realized when started to say no to things that don’t serve her, that’s when she was able to start living life for herself instead of living life for others. Aliya lived the traditional life which was go to school, get good grades, get a good job, get married and never rock the boat.  Since she was the eldest of three, she to always set a good example for her younger sisters.  She was also a people pleaser.

Aliya realized she didn’t have to say yes to everything.  When she had the ability to say NO, her confidence grew.

    I read in a book where you the only time you should yes is when it’s a hell yes!!! If it’s anything less you should no to it. Sometimes we as people have a hard time saying no to someone when sometimes that’s the best thing you could do for them. Learning how to say no is a powerful thing.
