Definition of Self Confidence

Confidence is an attitude, an internal belief that you are enough. Often, especially in Asia, we look for validation and self worth in the external. Once you strip job, income, status, branded clothes, etc away, who are you? Believing that you are enough less all these external things gives you an unshakable confidence, regardless of what life throws at you.

Her Life Before the Discovery of Self Confidence

Alina was always following the next fad even if she didn’t like it. She would just follow what her friends did which in the end made her still feel like she didn’t know who she really was.

The “AHA” Moment

The most recent big one came out of alot of dissatisfaction with Alina’s job, and the end of a tumultuous relationship that should have ended way earlier. She took a 6 month break, and went into a self-imposed exile from the world. It was the most painful, dark, lonely period of my life, but a very necessary one. She met herself and she learned to enjoy her own company. She accepted her weaknesses, giving thanks for her strengths.  She also decided it was time to let go of pride & ego. Knowing oneself is a powerful thing. And knowledge, acceptance and love of self is the root of self confidence.

Her Life After the Discovery of Self Confidence

Alina recognizes self doubt, need for validation or approval as thought patterns that need to change, rather than fact. Knowing this gives her more of strength and stability.

The One Self Confidence Tip For the Listener

Talk to you fear. Fear is a very real inner voice that tells you you’re not capable, they’re not going to like you and your idea is crazy. Literally talk to that voice as soon as you hear it.  One way is…

“Maybe I’m not as capable, BUT I will show up.”

‘But’ & ‘Yet’ – two of the most powerful words we have.
